Jacky Cross

Jacky joined the Ramblers in 2009 to share her love of walking in the mountains with other like-minded people. She was elected to the committee in 2012 and has acted in various roles. She was elected Chairman at the AGM in 2017, a role which she was willing to accept only on condition that retiring Chairman, Alan Norton, remained on the committee to assist with some of the "political" elements of the job!  She also retains the post of Programme Secretary.

Jacky says "I used to be a solo walker and I will always love being out in the hills on my own, but being with the group brings a whole different perspective to my walking. It provides good company, lively conversation, the opportunity to explore unfamiliar places and, most of all, friendship".
