With our “official photographer”, Chris, currently put of action, we’ve had to rely on others for April’s photos. Many thanks to all who have sent their pictures of some memorable walks. Here are just a few of them.
We started the month walking with the Aberystwyth group; with Dave leading we walked a linear route from Bontddu to Barmouth. Gill’s walk visited the top of the little-visited hill of Pen y Garn, above Llwyngwril. In a walk postponed from earlier on the year, we walked with Carol from Dolwyddelan, starting on a stretch of Sarn Helen and later visiting Dolwyddelan Castle. Rosie’s walk from Llan Ffestiniog had also been rescheduled due to bad weather on the original date. This time she we enjoyed lovely sunshine, walking up the Cynfal valley and back over the fields to Ffestiniog. For the last walk of the month, Derek took us through the fascinating remains of the Bryn Eglwys slate quarry above Abergynolwyn. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
