August 2024

Our August walks started with Christine’s circuit south of the Mawddach Estuary, taking in Arthog Falls and Cregennen Lakes. Next, Derek took the group exploring the Tremadog and Porthmadog area. Unfortunately, Mike’s walk near Beddgelert was beset by bad weather and the path through the Aberglaslyn Pass had to be by-passed because of the risk of slipping on the rocks. Glynne had somewhat better luck with the weather on his walk in the Llanfachreth area, a joint walk with the Aberystwyth Group. The month was nicely rounded off by Liz’s figure-of-eight route above Llanelltyd.

Many thanks to this month's photographers. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
