There were only three group walks in December, with a two week break over the Christmas period. Any thoughts leaders might have had of offering pop-up walks were rapidly dismissed in view of the horribly wet and windy weather forecasts! Our first December walk was led by Derek who said afterwards that he thought it was the only walk he’d led on which the rain never stopped - and he’s led a lot of walks! Despite the rain, the six who joined him had an enjoyable day out. Only a few of us braved the elements for Liz’s walk to the Glogau Gold Mines but although it was windy, the weather turned out a lot drier than forecast. Jacky had the best of the December luck with pretty good conditions for her walk to the little known Bwlch Tri Arlgwydd above Aberllefenni.
