February’s weather is never the best for walking but at least it was mild this year. We saw more than our fair share of rain and the ground was waterlogged but all four of our planned walks took place. The first was Chrstine R’s walk above Arthog, visiting the memorial to a crashed war-time bomber. The weather was not too good for Gill C’s walk near Tywyn but the woodland snowdrops were spectacular. John got the worst of the weather walking near Bronaber with persistent rain, but somehow that didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of the few brave souls who accompanied him. In a reversal of the conditions, we had dry weather and some sunshine for our last walk in the hills above Barmouth, but here we were nearly blown off our feet in places instead!
