July 2023

Overall, July’s weather was not kind to us. Some leaders were lucky enough to get good conditions on their walk dates – Rita’s Barmouth walk Dave’s Nantlle Ridge and Jacky’s “Moel Cynghorion and the other Tryfan” all enjoyed reasonable weather. Gill, on the other hand, had to run her Bird Rock walk twice, once doing a shortened route with just three other people braving the elements and again a few days later doing the whole walk in considerably better conditions. A bad forecast led to the postponement of Rosie’s Tomen y Mur walk. Rain again and a modified route for Adrian and three companions in the northern Rhinogs. Derek fared a little better in the hills above Arthog, as it only started raining half way through his walk! Here are photos from some of the walks which did take place, with a couple from the Dyfi Osprey Centre visit as well. (Click on an image to see more information and scroll through the pictures.)

We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
