July 2024

Another month with a good number of walks, and no cancellations or postponements despite the continuing poor weather! We started with Carol’s linear walk across the hills from Taichynhaeaf to Barmouth. Next Adrian led a strenuous exploring two calleys in the Arans, Hengwm and Cwm Cywarch. Another strenuous walk led by Jacky involved negotiating a fair amount of rough and very wet terrain in the Lledr Valley to reach the ridge above. Adrain took us to the Arans a second time, this time visiting the summits of Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn on a linear traverse from Rhydymain to Llanuwchllyn. Rosie’s walk took us through the spectacular Cwm Cynfal and over the lovely countryside above Ffestiniog. Finally, John was back in rougher terrain near Trawsfynydd, visiting the top of Moel Oernant and the little lake of Llyn Gelli-gain.

Many thanks to this month's photographers. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
