June 2024

It is perhaps not surprising that nearly all of our June walks were longer and/or more strenuous than the average - leaders wishing to visit the mountains will schedule their walks for a time of year when the weather should be good. This June’s weather has been very variable, with some warm and sunny days but also periods of be cool, wet or windy conditions. The good news is that all six of the month’s planned walks took place! We started with a stroll along the Coastal Path from Borth to Aberystwyth, followed by a walk on the hills east of Trawsfynydd. A strenuous climb to the top of Arenig Fawr, and an equally strenuous traverse of the Northen Rhinogydd followed. Next, a long stretch of the Coastal Path on the Llŷn peninsular was facilitated by the new Fflecsi Bus service and the month ended with a tramp over rough moorland to the top of Moel Llyfnant. Thanks to the month’s leaders, Alun, Dave and Jacky

Many thanks to this month's photographers. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
