Our November walks have been well-suited to the season, exploring some of the lower level hills, valleys and coast of our beautiful area. And although it wouldn’t be fair to say there was no rain at all, we had mostly pretty good weather, albeit with a lot of mud underfoot! We started the month with what has become a November tradition, a walk with Mike around the mixed woodland and forest of Cwm Mynach in the Rhinogydd. Next, a small group visited stone circles and a hillfort above Harlech with Rosy while Carol’s walk a few days later explored the beautiful Vale of Ffestiniog. Gill led an interesting figure of eight walk in the Corris area, taking us through an old quarry and past the “Italian Garden”, an amazing construction of Italian-style model buildings. We rounded off the month with a walk around Y Lordship, in an area we visit only rarely, not far from Llyn Tegid.
