November 2024

Our November walks have been well-suited to the season, visiting some of the lower level hills, valleys and coastline of our beautiful area. The month started with a leisurely walk with Gill, exploring a nature reserve and the coast in the Pwllheli area. It was a grey day but the interesting surroundings more than made up for the dullness of the skies. Rita was somewhat luckier with the weather for her walk above Penmaenpool and had a very good turnout, with visitors from several other areas. Another typical grey November day for Derek’s walk from Barmouth, starting with a stroll through the community garden, new to many of us! Sunshine and showers were forecast for Jacky’s walk from Aberllefenni, past Llwydiarth Farm and into Cwm Ratgoed. We didn’t get a lot of sun but luckily, nor did we have many showers.

Many thanks to this month's photographers. Special thanks this time to Gavin, a guest of Alun, for some amazing photos of Cwm Ratgoed. I wish I could show more of them.

We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
