November 2025

November bought the usual mix of mist, rain and sunshine, plus the last remnants of the glorious autumn colour. With just one walk cancelled because of bad weather, we were still able to enjoy four other walks. We started by exploring the hills above Barmouth with Rita, vising the Sylfaen Farm area, Cutiau and the Panorama Walk. Derek’s walk stayed close to Barmouth town, visiting places new to many of us together with more familiar places and some historic buildings. As always, Derek was very informative! A walk right round Machynlleth with Jacky took us up over the common via Glyndwr’s Way and, by contrast, back through the water meadows alongside the Afon Dyfi.  Finally, Gill’s walk from Tywyn explored through the lower reaches of the Dysynni Valley as far as Bryncrug, returning on paths near the Talyllyn Railway.

Many thanks to this month's photographers. We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
