September 2023

There have been months when we’ve been short of photos from our walks. September was quite the reverse. I’ve been sent so many lovely photos that it’s been difficult to choose between them. So apologies to those whose photos have not been included!

The month started with a bit of a heat wave. It was certainly hot work climbing up on the PYG track with Henry to visit the Snowdon lakes.  Alun’s walk on the Llŷn Peninsular to the old fort on Garn Fadryn started with mist and a bit of rain but this soon cleared to give us a very reasonable day. Sunshine again for Y Llethr with Jacky, though not as hot this time! By the last couple of weeks of September, the weather had gone back to being changeable. We only had a little rain exploring the area around Tomen y Mur with Rosie but just a few brave souls joined Christine for the Volcano Walk in on what was promised to be a rather wet day. Our last September walk took place on another damp and blustery day walk when Adrian led a small group up Moelwyn Mawr and Moelwyn Bach.

We’re always keen to have photos from our walks. If you have any to share with us, please email the programme secretary via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll let you know how to send them.
